Our Miss Lily Festival Queen contest has been in existance for the past 4 years. Service club organizations sponsor a candidate, who collects pledges. The Queen and princesses are crowned during the festival with the pledges being shared between the Lily Festival and the organizations.
We are very proud of our Queens and thank them for being part of our festivals.
2013 will again have four young ladies representing organizations in Neepawa as follows:
Taylor Kilborn will again represent Neepawa Elks and is defending the crown she was awarded last year;
Christan Paramor will represent Legin Ladies:
Jayden Lowe is representing UCT and
Michaela Ploss will wear the name of Neepawa Kin Club.

Old Tyme Dance
The dance this year, will be held on Saturday night - July 20th, from 7:30-11:30pm. Admission $15.00 per person. Music will be supplied by the Gaudry Boys from St. Laurent, MB. Dinner at 6:00pm will be provided by Laurette's Catering for $10.00 per person. The Yellowhead Centre is air-conditioned and has a hardwood floor - so makes for a good time.
35th Annual Charlie Sage Memorial Fiddler's Contest
Our Fiddler's Contest will be held Saturday, July 20th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Yellowhead Hall located on Mountain Avenue. Admission is $10.00 per person. Visitors can sit, relax, enjoy the music and helped to promote and preserve this heritage and cultural activity.
PreNovice 9yrs & Under
Novice 9-13 yrs
Junior 13-18 yrs
Senior 60 yrs & Over
1. Each contestant may enter one class only, with the exception of the Twin Fiddle Class.
2. Contestants must play a waltz, jig and reel, in that order.
3. Contestant must finish playing within 4 minute time limit.
4. Twin Fiddle Contestants must play a waltz and any other tune of their choice other than a waltz. No playoff for Twin Fiddler's Class.
5. Tune must be accepted old time variety and if possible named on the registration form.
6. Contestant may use own accompanist if desired. One instument only. Otherwise our accompanist is provided.
7. Judging is based on contest rules, accuracy, appropriate dance tempo, tune and overall style.
8. In case of an accident beyond player's control (broken string, power failure) he or she may replay.
9. The decision of the judges is final.
10. All medals and money presented at end of contest.
Prize money and trophies awarded in all classes for first, second and third place finishers. Early registraton is appreciated but registrations will be taken at the door.
Tangled Threads Quilt Show
Lily Festival Quilt Show sponsored by Tangled Threads Quilt Club was held again July 19-21st, 2013 in the Christian Education Building located just behind the Neepawa United Church. Enjoy a wonderful display of talent by our local quilters. Admission is by donation. Show times were Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm, and Sunday Noon-4pm.
17th Annual 2013 Auto Show and Shine
Our 17th Annual Auto Show and Shine sponsored by the Yellowhead Roadrunners will be held on Saturday, July 20th, at the Riverbend Park. Visitors attend and walk down memory lane as they viewed the old classics.
Lily Children's Events
Children's events will be held on Friday, July 19th behind the Court House and included a treasure same pile and entertainer Mr. K.
Saturday events moved to Riverbend Park and included bouncers, Games, races, cotton candy and more.
2013 Neepawa Chiropractic Lily Duster 5K & 10K Run
Back by popular demand, the Neepawa Chiropractic Lily Duster 5 & 10K Run will be on Sunday, July 21st. Registration is 7:15am-7:45am. Start time for the run is 8:00am SHARP.
Age categories 14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
Sorry, no bikes, skateboards, rollerblades or other mechanized devices on the course.
Pricing for early registration $20.00 and registgration the day of the race $25.00 ($3.00 discount for members of the Athletics Manitoba).
The Neepawa Chiropractic Lily Duster 5K & 10K Run and 5K Walk will also hit the streets at exactly 8:00am on Sunday am.
